Dwayne Travis

Dwayne founded Energy of Illinois Inc with vision to introduce his hometown of Chicago to renewable energy. Today, he oversees the company’s ongoing expansion efforts as Energy of Illinois begins to merge into different cities around the United States.

In the beginning, serving as sales and marketing manager for the company, Travis led the development effort and enabled homeowners across the entire state to participate in the Illinois Solar Renewable Energy Credit (SREC) program.

Before joining the company in May 2018, Travis was president of First Insurance Agency, Inc, where he was instrumental in growing the Medicare advantage revenue by $6 million dollars in Chicago, IL and Northwest Indiana within four-year period.

While at Pennsylvania life insurance, Travis was the top life insurance consultant within the company, and sold over 10 million dollars in annualized life insurance premiums.

Reggie Baker

Prior to joining Energy of Illinois Inc, Reginald Baker served a collective 14 years in both the U.S. Marine Corps, and the U.S. Army National Guard/Reserves, with expertise within Communications Security and Engineering. As an Army Engineer Officer, then Lieutenant Baker was introduced to the SPACES (Solar Portable Alternative Communications Energy System) and GREENS (Ground Renewable Expeditionary Energy Network System) programs for the military, designed to reduce dependency on non-renewable fuels for troops deployed to remote areas.

Reggie became a subject matter expert and instructor within said programs. With the National Guard, Reginald was able to utilize these renewable source systems while deployed on three separate Wildfire Emergency Activations in Northern California between 2017 to 2019.

Since joining Energy of Illinois Inc in 2019, Reggie Baker brings in technical expertise, a broad perspective of how important the use of renewable energy sources is for our future, and a commitment to introducing his hometown of Chicago to Solar Energy.

Solar Solutions

When we talk about traditional energy companies, we inevitably make use of the term “utility company.” When you come to its meaning, however, that term is actually misleading, whether it’s ComEd or Peoples Energy we’re talking about. After all, these are for-profit companies. Perhaps even more notably, these so-called utility companies have not made the effort to become the sustainable suppliers we need them to be. By now, we all understand, throughout Chicagoland and beyond, the need to invest in sustainable business practices like solar installation is absolutely dire. It’s not a question of if, in other words—it’s a question of how.

Energy of Illinois knows how.

Commercial Solar

Energy of Illinois helps business owners choose between a wide selection of “on-grid” systems, considering efficiency, size, installation method, and color.

Residential Solar

Residential solar panels generally take one or two days to install but the benefits last for many years to come, as you effectively protect the environment and save money while you’re at it.

Solar Panel Installation

Because residential solar doesn’t typically require as much energy as commercial panels, Energy of Illinois’ installers will determine how much energy you need each month in order to deliver cost-effective solar panel installation.
